A grieving boyfriend reflects on the tragic shooting that claimed the life of a Riverview mother

In Riverview, Florida, the boyfriend of the mother who tragically lost her life in a shooting incident involving her 14-year-old son is now recounting the unfolding of the tragedy from his perspective.

Adeem Berry stands accused of shooting both his mother, Tiffany Harris, and her boyfriend, Cortevious Crews. Tragically, Harris succumbed to her injuries, while Crews miraculously survived despite sustaining at least five gunshot wounds.

This harrowing incident took place on September 16th, in the Lynmoor Drive neighborhood within the Summerfield subdivision.

Upon receiving the call, Hillsborough County deputies swiftly arrived at the community and discovered Berry fleeing down the street, still armed with a gun.

The body camera footage of the negotiation between deputies and Berry, which lasted for approximately 16 minutes, has been released. During this tense standoff, Berry reportedly placed the gun to his head at least six times.

Eventually, Berry was taken into custody and now faces serious charges, including second-degree murder with a weapon, attempted first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm discharge, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Crews said Harris was a mother of three and was about to become a grandmother to her daughter’s first child. “Tiffany was very loving and caring,” he said, “She had a lot of friends who always looked up to her. She loved her kids to death. She spoiled them with any and everything. She was a very good person.”
