West Tampa’s Alessi Bakery Opens Massive New Home April 15

Alessi Bakery Tampa is stepping into a bold new chapter, and for longtime locals, this feels bigger than just another opening. The beloved West Tampa institution is set to debut its new location on April 15, marking only the second move in the bakery’s long history since founder Nicolo Alessi opened the original business on Cherry Street in 1912.

The new Alessi Bakery location is at 3003 W. Cypress St. inside the historic Tampa Letter Carriers’ Social Hall, just a block from its previous home. That move may be short in distance, but it signals a major leap forward for a brand that has been part of Tampa’s food scene for more than a century.
