Tampa Leak Deepens Live Nation and Ticketmaster trial today!

The Live Nation antitrust trial has taken an explosive turn after internal Slack messages surfaced showing a company employee mocking concertgoers, ridiculing high prices, and boasting that Live Nation was “robbing them blind, baby.” What makes the revelation sting even more is not just the language, but the setting: a case already centered on whether one of the biggest names in live entertainment used its power to squeeze competition and push fans into paying more than they should.

According to court filings made public in Manhattan federal court, government lawyers want the messages admitted as evidence in the growing antitrust battle involving Live Nation and Ticketmaster. The filings say the exchanges, written between late 2021 and early 2023 on Slack, are not random chatter but revealing windows into how company insiders spoke about the very people buying access to live events. In the government’s view, the comments are “candid, internal messages” that may help a jury understand how fans were seen inside the business.
