Tampa-based artificial intelligence and machine learning firm, Lumina AI, has gained admission into Microsoft’s Startups Founders Hub.
The program is tailored to furnish promising startups with the resources and guidance essential for scaling their operations, according to a press release.
“Being accepted into Microsoft’s Startups Founders Hub marks a major milestone for Lumina AI,” stated Allan Martin, CEO of the company, in the release. “This collaboration provides us access to Microsoft’s extensive ecosystem and technological expertise. It empowers us to advance our Random Contrast Learning (RCL) algorithm, introduce innovative AI solutions to a broader market, and continuously push the boundaries of AI capabilities.”
Lumina AI will also benefit from access to Microsoft’s partner network, facilitating potential collaborations with other forward-thinking enterprises.
The startup’s RCL algorithm leverages randomness to discern patterns and surpass other competing machine learning technologies, as described on its website. Invented in 2022 by Morten Middelfart, Sam Martin, and Ben Martin, the algorithm is recognized for its efficiency.
“With Microsoft’s unparalleled innovation and startup ecosystem combined with Lumina’s pioneering, energy-efficient AI algorithm that reduces carbon footprint, I am optimistic about the substantial societal impact potential of this partnership,” commented Ed Ingle, Lumina AI board member and former Microsoft executive, in the release.
