Margaritaville at Sea has announced four new destinations departing from Port Tampa Bay starting in January 2026. The flagship vessel, Islander, which made its debut out of Port Tampa Bay in June 2024, will set sail to exciting locations like Aruba, Curaçao, Montego Bay, and New Orleans. Additionally, the ship will introduce its first-ever 10-day voyage, visiting Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, and Ocho Rios, offering passengers an unforgettable adventure.
New Itineraries and Exciting Opportunities for Travelers
“We’re thrilled to partner with Margaritaville at Sea, Port Tampa Bay’s newest cruise line partner, offering exciting and fun-filled options for Parrotheads and everyone else,” said Paul Anderson, president and CEO of Port Tampa Bay. “We congratulate them on their success launching the Islander from Tampa and look forward to more itineraries and Caribbean destinations in the future.” This expansion of destinations brings even more travel opportunities for cruise enthusiasts and vacationers.
Tampa Bay’s Growing Cruise Industry
Margaritaville at Sea’s arrival has made a significant impact, with cruising now accounting for 20% of Port Tampa Bay’s total annual revenue. As cruise traffic continues to grow, the port is nearing its capacity. “We’re near capacity and need to build an additional terminal,” said Raul Alfonso, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Port Tampa Bay. With the expectation of 1.6 million cruise passengers next year, the port is planning a major $80 million investment to add a fourth terminal.
Exciting New Cruise Options for Everyone
“Whether they’re dreaming of relaxing on pristine beaches, exploring exotic cities, or discovering tropical hideaways, we now have a cruise option ready for everyone,” Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, said. This expansion promises to deliver a variety of exciting experiences for all types of travelers, making it easier to enjoy the tropical adventures they’ve always dreamed of.
