Children’s Gasparilla Extravaganza
The family-friendly Children’s Gasparilla is set for January 18 and features a variety of activities for young pirates. Highlights include a bike rodeo, a children’s parade, an air invasion, and a grand fireworks display to end the night. Gasparilla Invasion: A Pirate Fleet Arrives
The festivities officially kick off with the Gasparilla Invasion, hosted by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. This legendary event includes an invasion brunch, a thrilling pirate fleet approach, and a dockside spectacle.

Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Route: The pirate ship Jose Gasparilla II departs from the south end of Hillsborough Bay, sails through Seddon Channel, and docks at Tampa Convention Center.
Viewing Locations: Spectators can enjoy the invasion from various waterfront spots, including downtown hotels, Davis Island, and Harbour Island.
Pirate Fest Live Music and Entertainment
Presented by Bud Light and 101 N. Meridian Apartment Homes, Gasparilla Pirate Fest continues with live music and entertainment before and after the parade. Head to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and MacDill Park from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a full lineup of local artists.
