MOSI Dome Theatre in Tampa Set for Exciting Multi-Million Dollar Upgrade

Announced today by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, Hillsborough County Commissioner Chris Boles, and Temple Terrace Mayor Andy Ross, this project is set to revolutionize STEM education and entertainment in the region.

Cutting-Edge Technology Redefines the Dome Experience

The new Digital Dome Theatre will feature state-of-the-art 8K projection technology powered by 10 Christie projectors, delivering a brighter, sharper, and more immersive viewing experience. With seating for over 300 visitors—nearly seven times its current capacity—the upgraded Dome will become the second-largest digital planetarium in the U.S., setting a new standard for learning and entertainment.
