Tampa Bay’s Paul Wilson Shines in DEER CAMP ’86, Filmed in St. Pete

It’s time for summer slashers, and the passion project DEER CAMP ’86 is making a significant impact in the genre. Although predominantly shot in Michigan, this indie film also utilized the scenic backdrop of St. Petersburg for several scenes featuring local talent Paul Wilson. Now available for rent or purchase on all major digital platforms, DEER CAMP ‘86 can also be found on DVD and Blu-ray via Amazon and Walmart. Check out the full trailer here.

Set in the fall of 1986, the film follows six friends from Detroit who embark on their annual deer hunting trip up north. However, their adventure takes a horrifying turn when they awaken a terrifying presence, and “the hunters become the hunted.” The cast boasts performances from Noah LaLonde, Jay J. Bidwell, Arthur Cartwright, Brian Michael Raetz, Josh Dominguez, David Lautman, Tina Joy, and Paul Wilson.
