Nickelytics Takes a Bold Step, Acquires Fleet Graphics Firm in Tampa
Nickelytics is expanding its portfolio with the acquisition of TruckAds, a 25-year-old leader in truck-side advertising and fleet graphic services. This move marks another strategic step for the Tampa-based company as it continues to build its presence in the mobile out-of-home advertising industry. Intentionality was the key behind this acquisition, according to Nickelytics’ co-founder and CEO Judah Longgrear, who shared that both companies spent the past four months evaluating TruckAds’ business strengths and identifying where Nickelytics could add value.
Longgrear highlighted the synergy between TruckAds’ strong track record in mobile advertising and Nickelytics’ advanced advertising technology, stating, “This partnership will enable us to deliver unprecedented value and innovative solutions to our clients.” The acquisition is expected to significantly expand Nickelytics’ reach within the mobile advertising market, further cementing its position as a provider of data-driven out-of-home advertising solutions. While financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, the collaboration is set to bring new opportunities for both companies.
TruckAds CEO Rod Harris expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “I’ve been in the out-of-home industry for over 25 years and look forward to seeing Nickelytics expand upon what I’ve built.” TruckAds, known for generating over $5 million in profitable business from marquee clients like Aldi and Ashley Furniture, has established itself as a force in the industry. Longgrear emphasized that Nickelytics’ approach will differ by incorporating analytics and ad tracking capabilities, which have been missing in the space, further enhancing the value proposition of truck-side advertising.
Building on this value proposition, Nickelytics plans to continue its aggressive growth strategy while focusing on organic expansion through deals like this one. Longgrear noted the significant opportunity in the U.S., with over 13 million trucks available to be turned into moving billboards. The acquisition of TruckAds marks the third strategic acquisition for Nickelytics this year, following the acquisitions of Signs Printing Solutions and On Touch Go.
Longgrear emphasized that these acquisitions contribute to an “ecosystem of inventory” aimed at creating a vast network of mobility and transit advertising opportunities.
As Nickelytics reaches a tipping point, Longgrear shared that the company’s demand is strong, and they are focused on balancing staffing needs while continuing to grow the business in the Tampa region. The goal is to not only serve existing clients but also bring new ones on board to help grow their businesses. Despite being acquired by a Texas firm in 2023, Nickelytics remains committed to operating in Tampa and driving innovation in the advertising industry.
