As Fire Prevention Week 2024 approaches, Tampa Fire Rescue is ramping up efforts to ensure the safety of every home in the city. Running from October 6-12, this year’s theme, “Smoke Alarms: Make them work for you”, emphasizes the life-saving importance of having functioning smoke alarms installed in every residence.

In a fantastic community initiative, Tampa Fire Rescue, in partnership with the American Red Cross of Central Florida, is offering free smoke alarm installations across various Tampa neighborhoods. Free Installation Schedule:

• Monday, October 7: North Tampa (8 AM – 2 PM)
• Tuesday, October 8: East Tampa (8 AM – 2 PM)
• Wednesday, October 9: South Tampa (8 AM – 2 PM)
• Thursday, October 10: West Tampa (8 AM – 2 PM)
