Tampa Man Killed After Attempting to Cross Highway, FHP Reports
A Tampa man tragically lost his life after running across a Hillsborough County highway and being struck by an oncoming vehicle, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred early Sunday at approximately 12:09 a.m. when the 34-year-old man attempted to cross SR-674 just east of 30th Street Southeast. At that exact moment, a 31-year-old man from Leesburg was driving westbound on SR-674.
According to FHP, the pedestrian suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle, leading to the collision. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. WFLA initially published the story.
