Tampa Police Department Hosts 31st Annual Memorial Run

Over a thousand people gathered in downtown Tampa on Sunday morning for the 31st annual Memorial Run, hosted by the Tampa Police Department. The heartfelt event took place at Gaslight Park, serving not just as a race but as a fundraiser to support the families of officers who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.

A City United in Honor

Each year, the Tampa Police Department brings the community together for this meaningful event. Mayor Jane Castor described it best: “This is a special moment where the city comes together to honor our law enforcement.” The Memorial Run has become a cornerstone tradition, celebrating unity, remembrance, and resilience across Tampa. Streets surrounding Gaslight Park were closed to allow runners to participate safely, turning downtown into a vibrant sea of blue and white.
