Tampa’s Chilling Haunted Attraction Undead in the Water on a WWII Cargo Ship

Get ready for an unforgettable night of chills and thrills as “Undead in the Water,” Tampa’s only nautical haunted attraction, makes its spine-tingling return on September 27. This year, the terrifying event runs on select dates through November 2, blending history and horror in a unique way that only Tampa can deliver.

Set aboard the legendary American Victory Ship, “Undead in the Water” takes place on a 1945 WWII vessel with a storied past. Built in just 55 days at a California shipyard, this historic ship served valiantly in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Today, it stands as one of only three fully operational WWII Victory-class ships in the country. During the day, it operates as a floating museum, open to the public Monday from noon to 5 pm, and Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. At night, however, it transforms into Tampa’s scariest haunted attraction.
