Tampa Welcomes New National Law Firm Office
McGlinchey Stafford is broadening its national presence by launching a new office in downtown Tampa.
This marks the New Orleans-based law firm’s third Florida office, complementing its locations in Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, which were established in 2010 and 2011. Specializing in business litigation and transactional services, McGlinchey aims to expand the full range of practice areas it currently offers across Florida. Will Grimsley will lead the Tampa expansion as the office’s managing member.
Local attorneys Edmund Whitson and Chantel Wonder, who joined the firm in 2023, will also work from the Tampa office. They’ll be joined by Chase Stoecker, a McGlinchey attorney since 2017, and Nicholas O’Conner, who transferred from the firm’s Houston office in 2020.
The founding Tampa team will primarily focus on practice areas including financial services, insurance, labor and employment, as well as real estate and construction law.
“In the past, our growth strategy involved targeting cities that would make great additions to our letterhead. That approach worked well then, but now we’re focused on attracting top talent on a national level,” explained McGlinchey Managing Member Michael Ferachi. “We were fortunate to find outstanding attorneys who just happened to be located in Tampa.”
In total, McGlinchey has 16 attorneys across its Tampa, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale offices. Kerry Cummings oversees the Fort Lauderdale office, while Kim Israel manages the Jacksonville location.
With a national footprint of 160 attorneys across 18 offices in 12 states, McGlinchey also boasts additional lawyers licensed to practice in 34 states across the country.
