ZooTampa Announces Massive Halloween Fun for Families

Tampa Bay’s most popular family-friendly Halloween event is back! ZooTampa’s “Creatures of the Night” returns this fall with an eerie new twist. Spanning thirteen select nights until October 27, this year’s festivities promise even more thrills and chills. Event dates include September 27–28 (members-only night), Oct. 4-5, Oct. 11-13, Oct. 18-20, and Oct. 25-27.

This season, ZooTampa unveils an all-new sci-fi realm, where visitors can come face-to-face with the mysterious Testudians—aliens who have been hiding as reptiles for centuries. Their mission? To gather intel for an impending extraterrestrial invasion of Earth.

The spooky celebration spreads across the zoo, featuring outdoor adventures, captivating shows, spooky characters, and mouth-watering creepy cuisine.

ZooTampa members and guests with a Pay For a Day ticket can enjoy the event for free. For general admission, tickets are priced at $34.95 on Fridays, $39.95 on Saturdays, and $29.95 on Sundays after 4 p.m.

Creatures of the Night: New Thrills for 2024

  • “They Are Here” Alien Haunted Trail: For centuries, the Testudians have concealed themselves as reptiles and amphibians on Earth. Join the Taskforce for Alien Protection as you race against time to disrupt their communication and prevent an alien invasion. This interactive experience challenges guests to complete tasks and save the planet!
  • The Merry Old Land of Oz: Meet beloved characters from L. Frank Baum’s timeless classic, “Wizard of Oz,” including Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and The Cowardly Lion. Families with young children will love this magical experience, but beware—you might also run into the Wicked Witch of the West and her fearsome Flying Monkeys!
  • Troll Cave: According to legend, troll boogers are actually precious gems like diamonds, rubies, and emeralds! Venture into the Troll Cave, where a quirky group of lovable trolls is hard at work mining for the sparkliest “gems.” While some guests might think the walls are encrusted with precious stones, in reality, it’s troll snot!
