Over 70 physicians practicing under the Bayfront Health Medical Group in St. Petersburg are joining Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health (FMCOH), enhancing access to medical expertise throughout Tampa Bay. This merger unites a network of medical professionals under one brand, providing seamless healthcare across the region with more than 500 providers now serving Pasco, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties.
“We are thrilled to have our St. Petersburg-based physicians unite with our FMCOH team, who have been serving the Tampa Bay region for more than 30 years. Patients will also have a wider network of health care providers and facilities they can depend on for exceptional care,” said John Moore, president of Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and senior vice president of Orlando Health, West Region.
The expanded partnership brings a new orthopedic group to the St. Pete area. Six orthopedic surgeons specializing in spine care, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, and joint and general orthopedic services will now offer their expertise at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, providing a new range of care options to the community.
Joe Delatorre, CEO of FMCOH, said, “We share the same patient-centered values and are dedicated to providing optimal outcomes for those in our care.” Patients will not experience changes to their care under this rebrand since FMCOH is already part of the Orlando Health system.
