City of Tampa’s Free Laundry Service Initiative: A Helping Hand for Residents

In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s recent impact on Tampa, Florida, the city is taking proactive steps to support its affected residents. As the community grapples with the storm’s aftermath, the City of Tampa has launched a thoughtful initiative to address one of the basic needs of those impacted: clean laundry.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the City of Tampa will operate a “Wash Zone” at 5235 South Dale Mabry Highway from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This free laundry service is specifically designed to assist residents whose homes have suffered flood damage, leaving them without the means to clean their clothes and linens.
