Con Amor Tampa is quickly giving Seminole Heights diners something new to talk about: a colorful modern Mexican restaurant where fresh masa is the star of the table. Opened in February on the ground floor of Avenue Lofts, the restaurant is already building buzz for handmade tortillas, creative cocktails, and a menu rooted in Mexican inspiration with a Tampa twist.
The story behind the restaurant starts with Taylor Dillon, Kayla Chang, and a serious commitment to homemade tortillas. Before opening their own space, the couple experimented with masa from their apartment, using a molino to grind corn and develop the foundation for the restaurant’s tortillas, tostadas, dumplings, and more.
