A Popular Tampa Bay Sunflower Day Trip Is Blooming Again This May

Sweetfields Farm sunflower season brings blooms, photos, and spring fun near Tampa Bay.

The Sweetfields Farm sunflower season is officially back, giving Tampa Bay families, couples, photographers, and weekend explorers a bright spring reason to make the drive north for sunflower-filled fun this May. The Hernando County farm opened its 2026 season on May 2, with activities scheduled through May 25.

Located at 17250 Benes Roush Road in Masaryktown, Sweetfields Farm is bringing back one of the region’s most photogenic spring traditions with a large sunflower maze, garden areas, farm animals, crafts, and family-friendly outdoor activities.
