Tampa Named No. 5 on Boomtown List as Earnings Climb Higher!

Downtown Tampa’s growing skyline reflects the economic and population expansion that helped the city rank No. 5 among America’s top boomtowns.

Tampa boomtown growth is drawing national attention after a new LendingTree study ranked the city No. 5 among the nation’s biggest boomtowns. The findings point to rising local earnings and continued workforce growth as major reasons Tampa placed near the top of the national list.

LendingTree analyzed the 50 largest U.S. metropolitan areas across categories covering people and housing, work and earnings, and business and economy. Tampa finished fifth overall, behind Austin, Raleigh, Seattle and Charlotte, while also securing the No. 2 position nationally for work and earnings.
