FLORIDA’S GAMBLING HELPLINE SURGES 138% AFTER DECEMBER SPORTS BETTING LAUNCH

Following the introduction of sports betting, Florida’s gambling helpline is witnessing a surge in calls from individuals seeking assistance, with call volumes more than doubling since its legalization in December. The online sportsbook launch by Hard Rock Bet, initially soft-launched in November before being fully accessible in December, has fueled this increase.

According to phone records from the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling, there has been a staggering 138% uptick in calls and minutes logged to their hotline, 1-888-ADMIT IT.
