Matilde Tampa is set to bring a new wave of coastal Mexican dining to downtown, adding another high-profile restaurant to the city’s growing River Arts District. The upcoming steakhouse is planned for the ground floor of the AER luxury condo tower near some of Tampa’s biggest cultural landmarks.
The new concept comes from Next Level Brands, the local hospitality group behind Boulon Brasserie, Forbici Modern Italian, and Union New American. According to the announcement, Matilde will become the company’s fifth restaurant concept and is expected to open in spring 2027.
