The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the Tampa Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board has secured $700,000 in funding to keep the service fare-free through fiscal year 2025. This initiative ensures that residents and tourists alike can enjoy seamless, cost-free transportation across the city.
In a decisive 6-1 vote, the CRA Board confirmed funding contributions from its Community Advisory Committees (CACs): the Ybor City CRA allocated $234,000, while both the Channel District CRA and Downtown CRA each provided $233,000. Councilman Charlie Miranda was the only dissenting vote.
