UTampa Student Faces Charges in Newborn’s Death; Bond Set

A judge in Tampa has established a bond for the University of Tampa student accused of taking the life of her newborn and discarding the body in a garbage can back in April. Following witness testimonies presented in court, a bond amounting to $262,500 was set for the 19-year-old student, Brianna Moore.

According to police reports, Moore gave birth in a dorm bathroom on campus. Her roommates reported hearing an infant’s cries and noticed blood in the bathroom. However, Moore initially claimed that the blood was from her menstrual period. This claim raised suspicions among her roommates, leading to further investigation.
