Airside F Evacuation at TPA After Gun Discovery, Man Detained

A man will be charged after he allegedly had a gun at a TSA checkpoint, which led to the evacuation of Airside F at Tampa International Airport on Friday night, according to officials.

Airport officials said all passengers in Airside F were evacuated so airport police could do a precautionary security sweep. Passengers were re-screened and normal operations resumed at about 9:45 p.m.
