A new Apollo Beach Costco is planned for South Hillsborough County, bringing another major retail name to the fast-growing Big Bend Road corridor near Interstate 75. The proposed warehouse would become Costco’s eighth location in the Tampa Bay region, according to permit details reported by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The planned Costco warehouse would be built at 6997 Covington Garden Drive, near the intersection of Covington Garden Drive and Big Bend Road. Plans call for a nearly 169,000-square-foot store with a fuel station, covering about 17 acres of vacant land.
