Hales Blackbrick opened a new location in Hyde Park at 1809 W. Platt St. on Dec. 21, according to a post on the restaurant’s website.
Owner Chef Richard Hale, a Tampa native, is celebrated for his exceptional Asian cuisine. After 25 years of crafting Asian dishes, working with award-winning restaurants, and making appearances on the Food Network, Chef Hale has returned to Tampa Bay, bringing his expertise back home, according to the company’s website.
Hales Blackbrick’s original Tampa restaurant, located at 4812 N Dale Mabry Hwy, occupies the historic Pop N’ Sons diner building, which Hale acquired in early 2021. The menu showcases an enticing array of wok-fired dishes, including Kung Pao chicken, sizzling beef with black pepper, and sweet-and-sour pork. Unique offerings like General Tso-style alligator, tomahawk steaks, and bison ribeyes also delight guests.
The new Hyde Park location offers dining during the following hours:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sundays: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
