New Japanese Izakaya Planned for Downtown Clearwater

Cleveland Street continues to attract new restaurants and entertainment concepts.

Hanami Japanese Izakaya is set to bring a new wave of sushi, ramen, and yakitori to downtown Clearwater, adding another major restaurant concept to the fast-changing Cleveland Street corridor. The new dining spot is planned for 635 Cleveland Street, directly beside the future $50 million EVO Family Entertainment Center.

The restaurant will open in the heart of downtown Clearwater’s growing entertainment district, where historic buildings, new tenants, and major redevelopment projects are reshaping the 600 block. Its location places it between the Pinellas Trail and one of the city’s most active downtown transformation zones.
