Love and Tears: Families Reunited at Tampa Airport on Christmas Morning

The Flores family welcomes their army hero home after nine months apart.

Across the nation, families spent time in airports waiting to reunite with loved ones on Christmas Day and the first night of Hannukah. Tampa International Airport became a hub of emotions, as several families experienced joyous reunions.

Among the crowd was the Whitener family, eagerly waiting for their daughter flying in from California. Adding a touch of fun, Tod Whitener dressed as Santa Claus, while his wife donned a snowman costume, accompanied by grandma.
