Synergy Sweets, the award-winning Tampa bakery, is gearing up to open its highly-anticipated brick-and-mortar location this fall. Initially planned for a grand opening on September 27, Hurricane Helen caused an unexpected delay. However, once open at 4016 W Hillsborough Avenue, Synergy Sweets will be ready to welcome dessert lovers from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Owned by Shonnika Denise, a multi-time champion of Tampa’s Dessert Wars and a recent runner-up in the Dessert Wars National Championships, Synergy Sweets is already a favorite among locals. Denise has built a loyal fan base with her mouth-watering cheesecakes and artfully crafted cupcakes. The menu features popular items such as red velvet stuffed cookies, churro cupcakes, Reese’s cheesecake, and Key Lime pie—each one a testament to her passion for creativity and flavor.
