Tampa Heights Could See New Hotel From Midtown Tampa Developer

Tampa Heights continues to attract major development interest near downtown Tampa and the Hillsborough River.

A new Tampa Heights hotel project could bring a major transformation to one of the neighborhood’s most visible river-adjacent properties, as Bromley Cos. is reportedly planning to redevelop Stetson University’s Tampa Law Center site into a mixed-use destination with hotel rooms, residences, restaurants, and upscale amenities.

The proposed project would rise at 1700 N. Tampa Street, where Stetson University’s Tampa Law Center currently sits near the Hillsborough River and the northern edge of downtown Tampa. Stetson describes the site as a gateway to downtown Tampa and says the Law Center opened in 2004 as a hub for legal activity in the region.
