Tampa residents who left their cars parked in public garages during Hurricane Milton now have until Sunday to retrieve them, with parking fees eligible for reimbursement. This extension offers drivers additional time to safely remove their vehicles while taking advantage of waived parking fees.
Free Vehicle Removal Until 5 P.M. on Sunday
According to the City of Tampa, drivers have until 5 p.m. on Sunday to remove their cars from public garages without incurring any fees. Those who were charged after scanning their parking ticket should email parking@tampa.gov to get the fees fully reimbursed.
Lost Ticket? No Problem!
For residents who have cars still parked in the garage, they should press the “lost ticket” button when exiting and pay the $30 flat fee. This fee will also be reimbursed if they follow the process of emailing their details to parking@tampa.gov. The city is ensuring everyone can get their money back during this recovery period.
