Darden Reverses Course, Bahama Breeze Brandon Will Close

The Bahama Breeze Brandon closure is now moving ahead after a surprising reversal, ending hopes that the Brandon restaurant would be converted into another Darden concept instead of shutting down. The location at 805 Brandon Town Center Drive is now set to close on April 20, 2026, according to a report citing a letter sent to employees.

Earlier this year, Darden Restaurants said it would permanently close 14 Bahama Breeze restaurants and convert the remaining 14 into other brands in its portfolio over the next 12 to 18 months. At that time, the Brandon location was expected to stay open and eventually transition into a different restaurant concept.
