Fresh Kitchen South Tampa is making a powerful comeback after a 2024 fire destroyed its original neighborhood restaurant, with the Tampa-born brand now preparing to reopen in a bigger flagship space on Kennedy Boulevard. The new restaurant is scheduled to open June 9 at 1719 W. Kennedy Blvd., bringing one of South Tampa’s favorite fast-casual spots back close to the community that helped make it a local name.

The return of Fresh Kitchen South Tampa carries extra meaning for longtime fans because its original South Howard Avenue location was forced to close after a July 2024 fire. Nearly two years later, the brand is turning that setback into a major reopening with a larger, more modern restaurant designed to serve both loyal regulars and new guests.
