12 Tampa Bay Popeyes Restaurants Included in Bankruptcy Sale

A Tampa Bay Popeyes bankruptcy sale is moving forward with 12 local restaurants included in a larger Florida deal involving nearly 100 locations. The sale is tied to Sailormen Inc., a major Popeyes franchisee that filed for Chapter 11 protection earlier this year.

According to bankruptcy filings, Sailormen Inc. plans to sell 97 Popeyes restaurants across Florida, including 12 leased locations in the Tampa Bay region. The company is majority owned by Interfoods of America, based in Nevada.
