Fundraiser Success: Tampa Pig Jig’s Impact on Rare Kidney Disease Patients

The annual Tampa Pig Jig made its return to Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on Sunday, having been rescheduled due to the damage left by Hurricane Milton. This beloved fall event brings the community together with an irresistible blend of barbecue, bourbon, and live music.

What began over a decade ago as a small backyard gathering has evolved into a massive fundraiser. Friends first held the Pig Jig to support their friend Will Wellman, diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called FSGS. Since then, the Pig Jig has expanded to help raise millions in donations.
