JetBlue Airways is making major moves this winter, adding new nonstop flights out of Tampa International Airport. The airline has unveiled two exciting routes, including a highly anticipated international flight and a seasonal New York connection.

Expanding into Key Leisure Markets

JetBlue announced its expansion into “key leisure markets” while also strengthening its Boston and New York presence. Tampa was one of the few cities chosen for this international addition, signaling the city’s growing importance in JetBlue’s network.

Tampa to Punta Cana: A Daily International Escape

Starting December 18, JetBlue will launch nonstop flights from Tampa International Airport to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. This route will be offered once a day, year-round, connecting travelers to one of the Caribbean’s most popular tropical destinations. Whether it’s a winter escape or a summer getaway, Tampa passengers now have a direct line to sunshine and turquoise waters.

Tampa to New York: Seasonal Flights to Long Island MacArthur

On December 19, JetBlue begins flights from Tampa (TPA) to Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). This seasonal service will operate four times a week through April 29, 2026, giving travelers more access to the Northeast corridor. The route caters both to Floridians seeking northern travel and Northeasterners searching for a warm Florida escape.

JetBlue’s Commitment to Florida

“Florida continues to be a place where JetBlue’s unique combination of low fares and great service resonates, and we’re proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships.

The airline continues to strengthen its presence across Florida, with new routes expanding from Daytona Beach, Vero Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Fort Myers to major hubs like Boston, New York JFK, and Santiago de los Caballeros.

Other New JetBlue Florida Routes

  • Daytona Beach (DAB) → Boston (BOS) & New York (JFK) starting Dec. 4 – Daily, year-round.
  • Vero Beach (VRB) → Boston (BOS) & New York (JFK) starting Dec. 11 – Daily, year-round.
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL) → Santiago de los Caballeros (STI) starting Dec. 13 – Seasonal, daily until Jan. 19, 2026.
  • Fort Myers → Islip (ISP) starting Dec. 18 – Seasonal, three times weekly until April 28, 2026.

Additionally, JetBlue will begin a Tampa to Fort Lauderdale route in December, increasing connectivity within Florida.

JetBlue’s Growing Global Network

JetBlue is currently the seventh-busiest airline at Tampa International Airport, operating out of the Blue Side terminal. With a network of more than 100 destinations across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe, JetBlue continues to be a leading choice for affordable and customer-friendly air travel.

✨ With new destinations like Punta Cana and New York’s Long Island, JetBlue is giving Tampa travelers more reasons than ever to pack their bags. But the question is—where will you fly first?
