Tampa Theatre Rings in the Season with Iconic Holiday Film Series

The historic Tampa Theatre is once again bringing back its beloved Holiday Classics film series, offering audiences an experience that goes beyond just movies. This cherished tradition invites viewers to gather with friends and family and immerse themselves in holiday films on the big screen. Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests are encouraged to sing along to seasonal carols played on the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ before each show.

Festivities Begin with a Classic

The series kicks off with Miracle on 34th Street (1947) on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. Guests arriving early can meet Old St. Nick himself in the lobby starting at 2 p.m., where they’ll have the opportunity to capture memorable photos in front of the Christmas tree.

Holiday Lineup Highlights

The festive lineup features holiday favourites and classics, including:

  • Sing-Along White Christmas (1954) – Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m.
  • Elf (2003) – Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.
  • It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) – Multiple showings: Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 22 and Monday, Dec. 23 at both 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Home Alone (1990) – Sunday, Dec. 29 at 3 p.m.
  • Sing-Along Frozen (2013) – Sunday, Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. This special screening is free for all ages courtesy of the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation. Guests must RSVP at TampaTheatre.org.

Ticket Information and Member Discounts

Tickets for Sing-Along White Christmas are $14.50, or $11.50 for Tampa Theatre Members. All other films are priced at $10, or $7 for members. Tickets are available at the Franklin Street Box Office or conveniently online at TampaTheatre.org.
