Prepare for chills and thrills as Undead in the Water, Tampa’s only nautical haunted attraction, returns to the Tampa waterfront this Halloween season. Running on select dates through November 1, this eerie experience offers visitors a spine-tingling blend of history and horror aboard one of the nation’s most historic ships.

Step Aboard the American Victory Ship

Set aboard The American Victory Ship, a 1945 WWII cargo vessel with a storied past, Undead in the Water promises a terrifying adventure across multiple decks. Built in just 55 days, this remarkable vessel served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Today, it stands as one of only three fully operational WWII Victory-class ships in the U.S., serving as a floating museum open Monday from noon to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The attraction takes place aboard this living piece of history, transforming its steel halls and dimly lit decks into an immersive haunted maze. As official organizers remind guests: “Traverse multiple decks of this historic WWII cargo ship armed only with nerves of steel and a will to survive.”

2025 Dates You Don’t Want to Miss

For 2025, the event runs on select nights: October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 23-25, 30, 31, and November 1. These limited dates mean tickets tend to go quickly, so securing your spot in advance is highly recommended.

Not for the Faint of Heart

Undead in the Water is not for the faint of heart or young children. Brave souls who dare to navigate the maze of scares will need nerves of steel and a will to survive as they explore this eerie ship. Every creaking deck and shadowed passage heightens the suspense, creating an experience that’s both thrilling and unforgettable.
