Edelweiss is expanding its nonstop service from Tampa International Airport to Switzerland
Tampa International Airport (TPA) consistently ranks as one of the top airports in the United States, attested by JD Power. Boasting an extensive array of nonstop flights to premier domestic and international destinations, TPA is a haven for travelers.
Edelweiss, a prominent airline, has witnessed significant demand for its nonstop service to Zurich. In response, Edelweiss plans to double its service to this beautiful city in May 2024.
This expansion means that the esteemed airline will soon operate four flights weekly from TPA. Currently, flights are exclusively available on Fridays and Sundays but will be extended to include Mondays and Wednesdays. Travelers can conveniently secure tickets online.
Edelweiss Air will deploy an Airbus A330-300 with 332 seats, featuring 36 business class seats and 296 economy seats, as confirmed by TPA. This expansion is anticipated to contribute tens of millions of dollars annually to the regional economy.
Situated at the northern end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland, the city of Zurich offers captivating attractions. Exploring the scenic promenade along the east shore of Lake Zurich in the Seefeld quarter and visiting the Lindenhof, shaded by lime trees with a perfect view of Zürich’s oldest quarters, are highly recommended.
Visitors can embark on a Limmat Cruise, take a train ride up to Uetliberg, or immerse themselves in the artistic ambiance of Zurich-West for a diverse range of experiences.
