Electrifying Start: Tampa Bay Lightning Begins Season in October
The countdown is officially on! In just under a month, the Tampa Bay Lightning will ignite their season, promising thrills and excitement for both diehard fans and casual spectators. Amalie Arena, renowned for its electric atmosphere and nonstop entertainment, remains the beating heart of Tampa’s hockey scene. It’s easy to see why this city proudly lives by its motto: “Be the thunder.”
Don’t miss the action—mark your calendars for the preseason matchups on September 24, 27, and October 2. But that’s just the warm-up! Here’s a sneak peek at the regular-season home games for the Tampa Bay Lightning:

One unique experience you won’t want to miss this season is the Tampa Bay ICEBOX. This street-legal Zamboni cruises through downtown Tampa, offering a one-of-a-kind pregame ride. The ICEBOX begins its journey an hour and a half before each home game—5:30pm for 7pm games, 6pm for 7:30pm games, and 6:30pm for 8pm games.
The first pick-up spot is at Grand Central in Channelside (E. Madison St. next to the Pour House), with additional stops along Cass Street and Morgan Street. The final destination? Right at the front doors of Amalie Arena, ensuring fans arrive in style and ready to roar.
