Fly Bar & Restaurant has closed
The Tampa Bay area cocktail scene has been dealt a huge blow as one of its most beloved haunts, Fly Bar & Restaurant has closed its doors for good or could be relocating… Fly Bar first opened in 2006 then relocated in 2020, located at 442 W Kennedy Blvd.
Reported by Creative Loafing “call and text message to Fly ownership has yet to be returned, so it’s unclear when the longtime local hotspot shuttered, but an overnight security guard outside the concept told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay workers have been moving furniture out for the last couple days. Fly’s website and social media pages are also no more.”
For those who frequented this lively spot during the week or on the weekend, the news was heartbreaking. The unique atmosphere and delicious drinks made it an unforgettable experience for many throughout its heyday—but sadly all great things must come to an end.
When more information comes out we will take a deep dive into what exactly led to Fly’s closure so you can understand more about why such a gem is now gone from our lives.
