Lady Natasha Fines is revolutionizing fashion by merging style with functionality, creating inclusive clothing for individuals like her model, Anna-Saphia Rogers, who uses a wheelchair.
She launched her company, Lady Fines Adaptive Fashion, to address the needs of consumers often overlooked in the fashion industry.
“For those with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, or even invisible disabilities. There’s a significant gap in the fashion industry for brands like mine. Our designs are fashion-forward, girly, and super fun,” Fines explained.
The clothing line features accessible design elements.
“Utilizing Velcro and magnetic closures makes it easier for some girls to dress themselves without struggle,” Fines noted.
Fines’ inspiration came from her aunt, who battled cancer.
“During her chemo treatments, which are invasive, they had to tear her shirts open. It wasn’t pleasant. So, I designed a tracksuit with her needs in mind,” Fines shared.
Rogers also serves as a design consultant for Fines.
“Having adaptive clothing available inspires me and others to rethink how we can make fashion accessible. It allows wheelchair users like me to be independent and express our style,” Rogers emphasized.
The duo is about to embark on an exciting journey by participating in New York Fashion Week.
“We’re bringing ten amazing girls with us. My goal is to have most of them from Tampa, representing our city in New York,” Fines said.
“There might be another little girl with a disability watching us, thinking, ‘I can do this too,'” Rogers added. FOX 13 News initially published the story.
