Jake Paul isn’t waiting until November 15th to step back into the boxing ring. Instead of his anticipated matchup with Mike Tyson, he’s opted to keep the original date by taking on mixed martial artist “Platinum” Mike Perry in an eight-round cruiserweight bout at our very own Amalie Arena on July 20th. Initially set to face Tyson in Arlington, Texas, for a Netflix livestreamed event, Paul’s plans shifted when Tyson withdrew due to medical reasons, rescheduling their fight for November 15th.
Rather than wait for the new date, Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) decided to not squander a training camp and will stay busy by facing the undefeated BKFC fighter in the event billed as “Fear No Man,” which will be available via DAZN Pay Per View.
