Leadership Florida Welcomes 21 Tampa Bay Leaders to 2024-25 Classes

Leadership Florida announced its Cornerstone, Connect, and Education classes for 2024 and 2025, including nearly two dozen participants from the Tampa Bay area.

The Cornerstone Class includes 55 leaders aged 40 and older from across the state. This year’s class will participate in six two- to three-day educational sessions throughout the year, focusing on issues critical to Florida, refining leadership skills in sessions with established experts and relevant information on Florida’s history, demography, diversities, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Tom Palermo, Hillsborough County 13th Judicial Circuit
  • Mindi Richter, Shumaker
  • Christine Turner, ChappellRoberts
  • Chip Whitworth, TECO Energy
  • Jason Woody, Lions World Vision Institute

The Connect Class is tailored for existing and emerging leaders. It was created in 2009 and includes professionals aged 21-39. Members will meet for five sessions over a nine-month period, developing leadership skills while focusing on issues critical to Florida.

The West Central Region 2024-2025 participants are:

  • Matt Herndon, RSA Consulting Group
  • Sean King, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas & West Pasco Counties
  • Kaseem Mabry, Hillsborough Aviation Authority
  • Denelle Miller, FiCare Federal Credit Union
  • Sadie Molinet, The WICT Network Florida
  • Kinard Robinson, Empowering Creative

The Education Class is focused solely on improving Florida’s K-12 public schools. Participants include superintendents, school board members, principals, teachers, education department professionals, business partners and other public officials. They have five planned sessions over the next year.
