St. Petersburg rap star Rod Wave to play Tampa birthday bash concert

Rod Wave, a superstar artist hailing from Tampa Bay will be holding a celebration concert in his hometown. Titled the 1st Annual Rod Wave Birthday Bash, the event will be held at Amalie Arena on Friday, Sept 1, at 7 p.m.

Expected to grace the concert are mystery guests to be announced in due course. By the time the concert kicks off, Wave’s fifth album will be in the market. The St. Petersburg native rose to prominence in 2019 following the release of his single “Heart on Ice.” Since then, five of his albums including “SoulFly” and “Beautiful Mind” from 2021 and 2022 respectively have made it to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
