Downtown Tampa sees the official start of construction for the Pendry hotel and residential tower

In Tampa, Florida, a groundbreaking ceremony held on Wednesday marks the official commencement of construction for the Pendry Tampa and Pendry Residences Tampa.

This new development will consist of a 39-story tower, offering a total of 220 hotel rooms and 207 condominiums, situated at 100 North Ashley Drive, directly adjacent to Tampa’s Riverwalk.

Developers have already reached more than $230 million in condo sales. 

Pendry is targeting an opening in early 2026, making it the latest addition to the growing luxury hotel scene in Tampa.

The JW Marriott made its debut on Water Street in 2021, and just a year later, the Edition opened its doors on Channelside Drive.

Michael Fuerstman, the Co-founder of Pendry Hotels, stated that selecting Tampa was a straightforward decision.

During the construction, a portion of the Riverwalk will experience temporary closure, but the mayor has indicated that developers have committed to keeping this disruption to a minimum.
