Hillsborough County Public Schools Seeks Community Input to Name New Pre-K to 8th Grade School in South Tampa
Hillsborough County Public Schools is excited to announce a unique opportunity for the community to play a significant role in shaping the identity of a brand-new Pre-K to 8th Grade magnet school set to open its doors in South Tampa next summer. With a capacity to accommodate over 1,600 students, this state-of-the-art facility promises to be a cornerstone of educational excellence in the region.
To ensure that the school’s name reflects the values and aspirations of the South Tampa community, the district is inviting residents, parents, and stakeholders to contribute their ideas. The process is simple and accessible to all, aligning with the school board’s policy on school naming.
How to Participate:
Community members are encouraged to submit their school name suggestions by participating in an online survey specifically designed for this purpose. To share your idea and be a part of this exciting decision-making process, please click here.
Submissions will be accepted until October 6, after which a selection committee will review the suggestions and recommend a name to the school board for final approval on October 17.
