Historic Ybor City comes alive in October with the Taste of Latino Festival

The Taste of Latino Festival, organized by the same team responsible for the International Cuban Sandwich Festival, will take place on October 15th, running from 12 pm to 5 pm. This flavorful gathering will be held at Centennial Park (1800 E 8th Avenue) and will feature the closure of three streets to accommodate an array of vendors and performances.

While entry to the event is complimentary, advance registration is required. Additionally, a VIP area will be set up in the Ybor City Museum gardens. Attendees can look forward to a splendid day filled with live music, captivating dance performances, and more. Notably, this event will serve as the closing ceremony for the 2023 Hispanic Heritage season, and it will also host the TOP Latino Chef Contest, along with the live recognition and awards ceremony for the 2023 Florida Latino & Latina Lideres.

A day of music and food in Historic Ybor City

Every year, these festivals draw in crowds of thousands who come to partake in this cost-free, family-centered cultural celebration showcasing a diverse array of cultural, business, and culinary vendors.

In addition, this year’s edition will introduce a Dominoes tournament. Stay tuned to the Taste of Latino website for details on how to register for the tournament. The festivities will be enlivened by the musical talents of Vaya DJ, Johnnie Rivera, and our lively emcee and dance professional, Chris Maloof, ensuring that spirits remain high throughout the October afternoon.
