Tampa ‘Monopoly’ Board Game in Development

Published

on

Top Trumps USA recently announced its plans to launch a Tampa-themed edition of the iconic American real estate board game.

Expected to hit the market in February, the game will feature local businesses, nonprofits, and landmarks that are integral to Tampa’s identity.

With suggestions being sought for property replacements like Boardwalk and Park Place, options such as Raymond James Stadium, ZooTampa, Bayshore Boulevard, and Bern’s Steak House have been proposed.

The game will also include custom Monopoly money, along with community chest and chance cards that reflect Tampa’s essence. Since its introduction in 1935, Monopoly has remained a popular business strategy game with a wide global reach.

Top Trumps USA has previously released variations highlighting different regions across the U.S., including Palm Springs, Brooklyn, and San Antonio.

For those interested in contributing ideas for the Tampa board, submissions can be made to tampa@toptrumps.com. Once available, the Tampa edition will be sold through partnered retailers like Amazon, CVS, and select Tampa stores.
